With the submitted 2025 budget bill*, deadlines and obligated persons have been determined in connection with the SAF-T regulation.

It is planned to introduce the mandatory submission of SAF-T in several stages, with the criteria for companies that will fall within the scope of the regulation in the first stage being the following:

Since 2026, all large enterprises within the meaning of the Law on Financial Reporting, within the scope of the Directorate of Financial Reporting.

Or in other words, companies that exceed at least two of the following indicators:

1) Book value of assets – 50,000,000 BGN;

2) Net sales revenue – 100,000,000 BGN;

3) Average number of personnel for the reporting period – 250 people.

We, at FTS, are completely ready! Our solution is already in the pipeline in pilot projects for Bulgaria.

We are stepping on true expertise – our team has developed and implemented successful SAF-T solutions for clients in Norway and Romania, which gives us confidence and expertise in adapting to Bulgarian regulations.

SAF-T and system versions

We advise all our clients who are still using older versions of their ERP systems to consider the possibility of upgrading to ensure full compatibility with SAF-T standards.

What does FTS advise you?

Check if you are a large enterprise within the meaning of the Law on Financial Instruments and at the same time fall under the GDO Directorate:

If „YES“: Contact us as soon as possible to plan the next steps.

If „NO“: Expect more information about the next steps at our annual FTS event. We will soon announce the exact dates to meet and discuss all your questions.

*In the 2025 budget proposal expected in mid-February, we will also have new, final information on SAF-T, as due to the legal requirement for a 1-year period between announcement and entry into force, it may be postponed from 1/1/2026 to 1/7/2026. We will keep you informed of any changes.

The luxury of planning digital business projects for the next one, two or three years is gone forever in March 2020. COVID-19 put the adaptability of companies to the test. We realized that leaders in the COVID and post-COVID world will be those of us who are able to make and implement business decisions practically overnight.

In a time of crisis, the first thing a company should do is demonstrate concern for its customers by protecting its staff. In FTS, switching to fully remote work took only a few hours. With strong commitment and no media hype, we assisted many companies in obtaining and beginning to use free licenses for Microsoft Teams. The majority of our customers listened to our advice and, with our help, moved their business applications to Microsoft Azure, thus facilitating the remote work of many of their staff.

The initial predictions of freezing IT projects for implementation of business applications (ERP / CRM / BI) did not come true. What we in FTS saw happening was, that many companies accelerated their digitalisation projects, with some of them reducing the scope and going for faster results.

FTS new projects for the period January – October 2020 are 60% up on 2019.
Over 70% of them are implemented in Microsoft Azure, use many elements of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power platform, and in 100% of them the implementation process takes place remotely.

The above statistics may look strange, but actually there is a logical explanation for it. Turbulent times acted as a catalyst for the migration process of traditional ERP systems into the cloud and clearly outlined the two main benefits of this migration:

Ensuring resilience and adaptability in times of crisis

The past few months have shown that business systems need to evolve at the same speed as the world around us. Microsoft Dynamics 365 gives this adaptability and flexibility through:

Constant automatic updates

For the period January – October, our customers went through 7 new versions of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations – a process that in traditional ERP systems is often compared to a whole new implementation.

Dynamic modular configuration

We often liken the modular structure of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to a Lego constructor. The organization decides which modules it needs and can easily add or remove them from its system.

Integration and connectivity of the application with the entire Microsoft platform and with each of the cloud services

In the cloud, the connectivity of Microsoft Dynamics business applications with other platforms is either built-in (as it is with Outlook, Excel, Teams), or it is a clear and technically feasible task, particularly when having the arsenal of Power Platform and Common Data Model at hand.

Data security, system continuity, predictability and control of IT costs

Moving to a cloud ERP platform minimizes the risks associated with data protection and maintaining continuity of business applications – risks that are valid at all times, but particularly critical at the moment. The cloud model eliminates unplanned costs for server maintenance, backups, air conditioning, updates etc. When working in Microsoft Azure, our customers can manage the number of used licenses, resources and capacity. In FTS projects, it has generally been the case that organizations use cloud resources with increased capacity only in time periods in which the systems get overloaded, such as in the time intervals with the largest number of orders or during month-end closing.

At FTS, we believe that with our knowledge of information technology and business processes we can help companies emerge from the COVID-19 crisis better prepared and with a clearer vision for their digital future.

By presenting the new functionality for ad hoc analysis in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, we continue the series describing the enhancements in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. After Saved Views in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, which users can officially use from October 2020, here we present to you the ability for quick ad hoc analysis directly in your work screen.

Let’s look at the following example. Sales staff normally work in the sales order screen, which provides them with detailed information about each order. Sales managers in their operational work, however, need to see this information grouped based upon various criteria such as status, delivery date, warehouse, order processor. The information structured in this way is very useful for making operational decisions, for example which orders are given priority or how order processing is distributed among the staff. This grouping can be done by the user in a convenient and easy way.

One and the same screen turns into a completely different workspace according to the role of the user in the organization. Grouping preferences can now be included in saved views, as well as subtotals in the section of each group. The user can specify which of his saved views are used as default views. In the example above, the sales manager will see the number of orders / order amount by sales representatives, the order processor will work with the detailed list of his orders, and the logistics officer will group the orders by warehouse and mode of delivery. Virtually any field on the screen can be used for grouping and any numeric field can be added to the group total section.

https://fts-eu.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/2020-Октомври-1.mp4

A few more handy functionalities from older versions of the product are again available:

– rearrange fields by dragging them on the screen;
– enter mathematical expressions directly in the numeric fields;
– fields suggested by the system to add to the screen based on other user preferences;
– mark a required field as mandatory.

All these tools make it easier and more intuitive for the user to work with the product.
