FTS Bulgaria Carries Out a Pilot Implementation of the Specialized ERP solution eGraph in Fresh Up Label

Fresh Up Label is a company specialized in the production of high-quality, pressure-sensitive, self-adhesive roll labels for mechanical and manual application as well as in multi-layer foil printing. In order to address the growing need for precise and timely planning of production, as well as accurate accounting of product cost, the management of Fresh Up Label decided to apply for EU funding for the purchase of an ERP system.

EGraph ERP solution implemented in Fresh Up Label is based on Microsoft Dynamics AX and has been especially developed for the printing industry.

Fresh Up Label is a company specialized in the production of high-quality, pressure-sensitive, self-adhesive roll labels for mechanical and manual application as well as in multi – layer foil printing.

In order to address the growing need for precise and timely planning of production, as well as accurate accounting of product cost, the management of Fresh Up Label decided to apply for EU funding for the purchase of an ERP system and for implementing ISO 9001:2000.

After winning funding for the project, Fresh Up Label selected in a tender an implementor for the ERP system. The choice fell on FTS Bulgaria and the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics AX with the specialized ERP solution for the printing industry eGraph of MPS Graphics, Denmark.

Microsoft Dynamics AX implemented in Fresh Up Label incorporates functionality for the management of accounting and finances, production, supply and sales, projects, human resources, management analyses, web solutions and more.

The vertical solution eGraph has been developed to meet the requirements of the printing industry and incorporates the best of MPS Graphics’ twenty years of experience. It has capabilities for preliminary, standardised and post-calculations, price lists and offers, material and resource planning and production management, Gantt Chart graphic tool for fine planning, eGraph online – a production reporting system, statistics, document processing, including invoicing.

The eGraph calculation module is the most specialized module and fully meets the requirements of the printing industry and in particular the specifics of flex printing. It is used to calculate the expected costs for the production of individual orders for printed products: quantity and type of paper, ink consumption, automated collation, punching, price lists, waste, time and cost of machine setup and maintenance processes, etc.

The modern planning tool provides an immediate overview of the entire production schedule to Fresh Up Label staff. Planned production processes can be easily changed and rescheduled using the drag-and-drop operations of Gantt chart functionality. Corrections to orders requested by customers can be easily and quickly made.

The integrated IT system implemented in Fresh Up Label is a good example of achieving systematic, accurate, reliable and up-to-date information for each stage of the work process in the company. Improving the planning process has a positive effect on the company’s operations and accelerates activities of paramount importance such as organization, accounting and control.
