Awareness has always been important in well-developed societies. That is why in the latest podcast of the National Revenue Agency, traders can find answers to all questions related to the requirements for the information that must be contained in the cash receipt they issue during the period of dual indication of prices in leva and euro, what actions they must take to make the necessary settings on their fiscal devices and for which commercial establishments exceptions are provided.

During the period of dual indication of prices of goods and services in the fiscal or system receipt issued to consumers, the final amount must be indicated in leva and in euro. This period begins one month after the decision on Bulgaria’s admission to the euro area is issued, which is expected on July 8 of this year. This means that dual indication should start from August 8, 2025.

The dual indication period starts from this date. Until December 31, 2025, customers must see the payment amount in leva, the converted value in euro and the official exchange rate. After January 1, 2026, the fiscal receipt will display the final payment amount in euros, the converted value in leva and the exchange rate.

The advice of the experts of the National Revenue Agency is that traders should contact the service companies or manufacturers of fiscal devices, who will make the necessary adjustments according to the requirements of the Euro Introduction Act and the provisions of Regulation H-18.
